I (Charles S. Derrick) am a retired Sarasota, Florida educator who promoted the fine arts as a counseling philosophy. I practiced what I preached by performing in school and in a Country Band on the Venice Beach for seven years. I have been writing Country, Gospel, Christian, Pop, and motivational songs for 25 years. My major mentor was NSAI. My demo songs are all professionally made. Now that I have time, I am making an effort toward publication. I am hoping that TAXI will help me open doors that are normally closed to those without friends in the music industry.
