UPDATE: My musical journey continues, writing and recording my songs in Nashville this past January with famed songwriter/producer Greg Barnhill! More to come in September 2024 as we work to finish my first EP/album, "Songs for Sale". BTW, I am currently seeking a publisher to distribute my tunes to artists, libraries and sync opportunities.
After more than 40 years pursuing a legal career, Jimmy Burland has since renewed his love of music and revived a nascent singer-songwriting journey that has reconnected with his teenage inner child, playing acoustic and electric guitars and singing his original songs. He also has developed unique, but familiar, rhythm guitar licks and phrasings that invoke the sounds of the 60's and 70's which have been incorporated into his song portfolio. His very early collaborations in high school with Connie Mims of Wheatfield and Randy Jackson of Zebra has fostered a rekindled passion for music. He is a BMI artist and member of TAXI, NSAI, the Americana Music Association, and currently lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His contact email is jimmyburland@gmail.com or can be reached via phone or text: 225-938-7319 cell.
