Jet Williams

As you can tell from my picture, I am older than most of the artists you are used to reading about. I have been a group choral singer and amateur guitarist for many years but never soloed or recorded before 2024 when I finally decided to record six songs that I had written, so I am especially appreciative that you have chosen to take time from your busy life to read and listen.

One of my earliest musical memories is going to a ‘50s drive-in restaurant to eat and listen to our song requests on the radio. My favorite was "Wake Up Little Susie" performed by the Everly Brothers featuring great harmonies and guitar work. I was a teenager in the ‘60s and was a huge fan of The Byrds and the many offshoot groups that talented group of musicians produced, so they probably have influenced my music as much as anyone.

My recordings feature acoustic guitar and solo voice, although there is some harmony voicing toward the end of each song for listening interest. I recognize my limitations as a singer and instrumentalist, and at my age, I have no expectation of performing live or touring, so my hope is that someone with more talent than I would find something in these songs to merit doing something with one or more of them. I use the name Jet Williams for the music (Jet being the first three letters of my middle name, Jethro) as it is a bit more unique than David Williams.
