Guy Palazzolo

Guy Palazzolo is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter and instructor based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.

For 16 years, Guy has provided background music for events such as weddings, graduations, retirement parties, corporate events, industry association banquets, and charity fundraising dinners at venues such as the Sunol Valley Golf Club. As a piano instructor for 14 years with currently over 50 students in the South Bay, Guy is also available as a vocal coach and prepares aspiring students to provide simultaneous piano accompaniment with vocals during performances. Guy has been dedicating himself to the songwriting craft over the past seven years, and is active with a songwriting workshop group meeting monthly in Marin County. Additionally, Guy serves as musical director for Christopher Demeter, a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Guy's background was heavily influenced by his older brother, a guitarist who played a great deal of blues, jazz and popular classics from the 1930s-1950s, Guy developed familiarity with these styles to complement the classical background obtained from thirteen years of piano lessons. One piano instructor's tips for creating elegant arrangements of popular classics, vigorously employing the practice of word painting when rearranging songs, and listening to more contemporary pianists like Joe Sample, and David Benoit have helped strengthen Guy's skills in the area of rearranging popular classics. Guy's vocal background was obtained from involvement with choral groups in high school and work with Verlene Schermer, a Bay Area vocal instructor in subsequent years.
