The Ennis Brothers are a multi-award-winning Country & Irish duo built around the close harmonies and shared songwriting of twin brothers Matthew and Owen Ennis.
Raised in a music-filled home in Dublin, their earliest memories are of their grandparents playing The Everly Brothers on repeat. Those records didn’t just shape their sound — they shaped their ambition. The blend of harmony, melody, and storytelling in songs like “Bye Bye Love” lit the spark that would define their path.
By their early teens, both brothers were writing songs and teaching themselves guitar, drawn to country music for its honesty and strong lyrical foundations.
While The Ennis Brothers have built a reputation as powerful live performers — supporting Nathan Carter on tour in 2018 and sharing stages with Daniel O’Donnell, Derek Ryan and other leading names in Irish country — songwriting remains at the core of what they do. Their original single “Goodbye Dawn,” co-written with Derek Ryan, has surpassed 790,000 Spotify streams on Spotify, while their reimagined version of “Star of the County Down” has exceeded 2.5 million streams on Spotify.
In 2020, they were named Best Newcomer of the Year at the Sunday World Country Music Awards. Television appearances followed, including RTÉ’s Late Late Show Country Special and TG4’s Opry Le Daniel, where they performed a duet of “Wake Up Little Susie” with Daniel O’Donnell — a nod again to the Everly Brothers influence that first inspired them.
Beyond Ireland, The Ennis Brothers have toured internationally as guest stars with Rhythm of the Dance, performing across Europe and the United States. In 2024 and 2025, they appeared on Gertrude Byrne’s All-Star Irish Cruise, bringing their harmony-led country sound to audiences across the Greek Islands and the Caribbean.
At their heart, The Ennis Brothers are songwriters who believe country music works best when the story comes first. Built on twin harmony, classic influence, and a modern Irish perspective, their focus remains simple: write songs that feel true, sing them with conviction, and let the harmony do the rest.
