Nostalgia Is a Drug is a project of the real life DJ35X, a Chapel Hill, NC based producer blending retro synth textures with modern sound design to create immersive, human-crafted tracks that live at the intersection of nostalgia and innovation. DJ35X has collaborated with musicians and producers in Miami and Los Angeles to shape a sound that’s both vintage and forward-looking—bridging new wave, synth-pop, and deep house. Each track has been built from the ground up with real instrumentation, layered production, and detailed arrangement work.
