Deep Blue Remedy

Deep Blue Remedy re-emerged during one of the most challenging chapters in Chris Devlin’s life. While undergoing cancer treatment in New York City in 2023, Chris began writing daily—at first, simply as a way to pass the time and stay grounded. But over time, those reflections evolved into lyrical vignettes, snapshots of revisiting city life, inner struggles.
The lyrics came out of his everyday experiences and progressed into these storytelling pictures.
With the support of a close circle of collaborators, those writings transformed into music. Joell Jacob, a powerhouse vocalist, brings deep soul and tradition to the project, infusing the more blues-driven tracks with raw power and presence. Guitarist Will Dallas adds texture and emotional weight, while multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Sophia Griswold lends a contemporary jazz edge.
