Meet Che-Val: A Powerhouse Duo Blending Music, Chemistry, and Charisma.
Che-Val is the electrifying husband-and-wife music team experimenting with the boundaries of pop music. Their music has landed spots on hit TV shows like USA Network’s "Temptation Island," The CW’s "The Wranglers," and "Hollywood Houselift with Jeff Lewis." Their track “My Beat” climbed to #52 on the Top 40 Mediabase Activator Charts, and their latest release, “20 Questions,” features American Idol alum and viral sensation Undy, known for her standout cover of Bishop Briggs' “River.”
Fronted by the captivating and multifaceted Laura Cash—a singer, songwriter, and real-life chemistry teacher—Che-Val blends soulful vocals with clever songwriting and infectious energy. Laura brings the brains and the boldness, channeling her inner Wonder Woman both in the lab and on the stage. Her partner-in-everything, Kenny Cash, is the group’s sonic architect—a modern-day Bruce Wayne of the studio. As a seasoned producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and mix engineer, Kenny brings decades of experience and a visionary touch to every track they craft.
Che-Val’s moniker was inspired by the couple’s very first purchase for their home together—a cheval mirror. Symbolic of reflection and unity, the name stuck, and now that home is a lot livelier with two kids in tow and a thriving creative empire.
When not working on Che-Val’s latest tracks, Kenny is busy producing and mentoring emerging talent through his acclaimed studio, Factory Underground. Located in Norwalk, CT, the studio has become a creative hub for legends and rising stars alike, hosting artists such as Brian McKnight, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Rakim, Sid Wilson (Slipknot), and Martin Barre (Jethro Tull). Kenny’s diverse credits also include touring with Grammy-winning icon José Feliciano and developing breakout acts like Goose and Similar Kind.
With a magnetic blend of artistry, intellect, and drive, Che-Val is more than just a band—they’re a musical movement in the making.
