WENDY SPIRO ABEDON is an accomplished musician, composer, music teacher and music practitioner who has worked in New England for 30+ years and resides with her family in a farmhouse located in the foothills of Vermont. She has recorded two exquisite CDs: "Interweave" and "Voices of America".
"Interweave", which was released in 2006, takes the listener on a fluid journey through ancient Celtic songs and original tunes and ballads. Wendy's gorgeous, crystalline voice captivates and transports the listener. Artfully blending tight harmonies, rich textures, and strong rhythms, Wendy is supported by an ensemble of notable musicians including Keith Murphy, Becky Tracy and Isaac Alderson.

In the 2007 Unisong International Songwriting Contest, Wendy's songs, "The Dance" and "Road to Lemmart" were
Top 20 Finalist Winners in the World Music category; "The Lady" received Honorable Mention in the World Music category.
In the 2007 U.S.A. Songwriting Competition, Wendy's song, "Road to Lemmart" was a Finalist in the World Music category.
In the 2007 Great American Song Contest, Wendy's song, "The Dance" received an Honor Award in the World Music category.
"Voices of America" was released in 2022 and is a compilation of traditional songs of work, love, leisure and hardship from the
1820's-1920's with the exception of the bonus track (Ring Around the World) which is Wendy's original tune set to a poem
by Annette Wynn. The CD blends warm, lead vocals with rich harmonies, strong instrumental accompaniment and thoughtful arrangements. "Voices of America" has been described as a "beautiful and richly textured body of work" depicting American culture through music across the states and ages. Showcased are extraordinary musicians from the vibrant scene of the Connecticut River Valley--including Travis LeDoyt, Keith Murphy and Becky Tracy.
Pieces from "Voices of America" has been broadcast on the Vermont Public Radio show, 'All the Traditions', and made available to
local schools and libraries for teachers to integrate music with their social studies curriculum, and for people of all ages to enjoy.
