Shakila

It all started when I was a young girl. My birthplace is Fresno, Ca, but i also spent some of my life in New York. Moving back and forth I had the wonderful chance to experience two totally different cultures. From basement parties to live band sessions late night in the cafe my whole family has musical roots. My grandmother Zelma Hunt had a cafe/night club called Hunts which my grandfather built for her. At night I would help out any way I could. At this time I got to know the nightlife and what all of it's travelers desperately craved, music to make them feel good. This is what I bring to the table. That feel good music. As I got older I ran into people who had a passion for it but did not have what you needed to break the barrier so I pushed it away. Then I met my husband and could not run anymore. Where ever we live, we had a studio setup. Now I'm putting together sound like you ain't never heard before. So sit back and listen with and open mind and it will definitely open up your heart.
