My name is Charlene Marie Perry born in Cleveland, Ohio. I was born on April 29, 1988 to a wonderful woman name Eugena Perry. I have six siblings, three whom I see daily and three who I have not seen in years. The youngest is 15 years old and the oldest is 25 years old. I have a daughter name Zayana Tishay Sowell born November 29, 2007.

My mother has been an STNA for 6 years. We lived in Cleveland all of our lives, moving from house to house. The homes that we lived in were in horrible conditions mice and roaches took over everything. My mother finally moved us to a better home on St.Clair, after living there, we moved to a street between Kinsman and Buckeye. My mother was disrespected by guys in her past placing their hands to her face and cheating on her. My mother was very nice to people and some people took advantage of that. Everyone use to ask her for money and things but when she needed help, she couldn’t depend on anyone.

I began singing, rapping, and writing my own songs at the age of 13. I performed in numerous talent shows and received excellent feedback from the crowd. I had people that just did not believe in me what so ever until they actually heard me. Some people in my family were hard to get along with so I stayed my distance, every time I looked up it was always drama. I began stressing very bad, so to get rid of the stress I would write new songs or listen to music.

I graduated from Jane Addams Business Careers Center June 3, 2006. Students were easy to get along with in that school. When people asked me what I was doing after graduation, I always told them “pursuing my music”. Other than music, I enjoy chilling with my sister (Audra) and friends. I also enjoy watching T.V shows and NBA games featuring the Cavs.
