I think you could improve this song by
Screen Door Wide has some very hard rock elements. Perhaps exploring a more blues rock drum and guitar rhythmic groove approach might help inspire a more bluesy topline.

Screen Door Wide is sounding fairly far away from the vintage blues modern sound requested.
