Like most people, I was drawn to music by listening to the radio. I got my first guitar in the 8th grade. It wasn't till my third year of high school that I desired to be in a band. I abandoned music when I started college. After a few years of college I joined the United States Air Force. Sometime in my first year of service to the Air Force, I started developing a passion to write songs. This desire lasted through my four years of military service and through my reentry to college. I now view songwriting as an integral part of my life.
