Charles Wiley & Matt Baxter

300 placements, including Tyler Perry’s Sistas, Dateline NBC, and The Young and the Restless

Charles Wiley – Banning, CA & Matt Baxter – Anaheim, CA USA
Charles and his co-writer (and fellow TAXI member) Matt Baxter recently signed five holiday songs with a top-notch publisher — a relationship that began with a TAXI forward a few years ago.

Charles adds, “I’ve been a TAXI member for over 10 years and now have over 300 placements in TV shows to date, including Tyler Perry’s Sistas, Dateline NBC, The Young and the Restless, and many others. I recommend TAXI to any serious musician, songwriter, or artist who wants to get their music in TV and film. I don’t know anywhere else that provides the access, feedback, and community that TAXI does!”

Congratulations Charles and Matt, and thank you for the kind words. Very much appreciated!

Dave Freeland

Six placements in big TV shows, commercials, and a film

Dave Freeland – Murfreesboro, TN USA
Dave is celebrating another great placement for Brainchild — a band that originally recorded a batch of original songs back in 1971, hoping to land a record deal. That never happened... until decades later, when Dave connected with a heavy-weight sync label/publisher through a TAXI forward.

Now, Brainchild’s songs are finding new life in major placements, including:

  • “The Path”in Episode 106 (2025) of The Chair Company
  • “Blue Sun” in Episode 305 (2025) of Tulsa King
  • “Blue Sun” in the film ASCO, Without Permission (2024)
  • “Good Morning Mr. Morning” in the film Nutcrackers (2024)
  • “Blue Sun” in a Volkswagen ad (2024)
  • “Good Morning Mr. Morning” in a Golden Corral ad (2022 & 2023)

Dave says, “This never would have happened without Michael and the great folks at TAXI. We can’t say enough good things about what TAXI has done for us.”

Huge congrats to you and Brainchild, Dave! Those are some seriously great placements!

Domanic Rincones

Placement on French TV and signed four albums

Domanic Rincones – Kirkland, WA USA
Domanic recently discovered his first placement from a TAXI brief — and it aired on French television.

“It was on a French TV special where they used my Afrobeat track during a montage of a city,” he says. “Not only that, but I’ve already made four other albums for the same great music library, and I’m just getting started!”

Domanic adds, “This proves TAXI is the real deal, and that practicing patience is key in this game. Thank you, TAXI!”

Congratulations for being patient, Domanic, and of course, for the placement and signing four albums with that library!

Gary Shaffer

Several placements on French and Hungarian TV for his ’50s-style Doo-Wop

Gary Shaffer – Point Pleasant, NJ USA
Gary shared a great reminder about long-term results and the power of patience.
“A few weeks ago, I noticed several placements for my song Back in My Arms’ on Hungarian and French TV,” he says. “About three years ago, TAXI had a listing looking for 1950s-style DOO-WOP songs. I submitted that track, it got forwarded, and it turned into a deal.”

And then… nothing for a long time.

"Until last quarter’s PRO statement,” Gary adds. “It was a great surprise — and one that never would have happened without TAXI. It really illustrates the TAXI mantra: Write, Submit, Forget, Repeat.”
Congratulations, Gary! Nothing like good surprises showing up on your PRO statement!

Ron Day

Landed another film placement and multiple deals signed

Ron Day – Seattle, WA USA
Ron reports a string of exciting wins — including multiple signings and a renewed placement opportunity that came back around after several years.

“A few days leading up to the Road Rally, I signed my song ‘Ride’ with two production music catalogs,” Ron says. The track originally appeared on a TAXI country compilation and even made TAXI’s Top 10 list years ago.
Ron also signed his 2024 bluegrass album, Ron Day and Dem Boots – Songs from the Front Porch, with a great company after the Rally.

Then came another surprise:

“The filmmaker who used one of my 35-year-old songs ‘Never as Good as You’ (Nisha Version) in the film What Josiah Saw emailed me again,” Ron says. “He wants to use the same song in a new movie — but this time for 3:11 instead of just 11 seconds!”
Ron adds, “For me, TAXI is a process. I still don’t love returns, but the camaraderie I’ve experienced from other TAXI members is priceless.”

Congratulations, Ron! And each return is an opportunity to learn!

John Kontol

Signed his entire album recorded in 1986

John Kontol – Schererville, IN USA
John shared exciting news after submitting one of his older songs to a TAXI listing — and it turned into something much bigger than he expected.

“I submitted my song ‘Feels So Right’ to a TAXI listing asking for ’80s emotionally upbeat rock songs,” John says. “It was forwarded, and that led to a deal for my entire 1986 album, It’s Time.”

John adds, “It proves the music goes on — and it’s never too late for great things to happen. Thank you, TAXI!”

Congratulations for signing that deal. The company you signed with is one of our very favorites! We can’t wait to hear when some of your songs get licensed in TV shows or films.

William Dan

Signed his first deal, and gives credit to TAXI TV and the Forum

William Dan – Solihull, West Midlands, UK
William reports, “Having joined TAXI in July, I’m delighted to share that I’ve signed my first music licensing agreement with a great boutique publisher. So far, I’ve submitted 20 pieces of music and received three forwards — and now I’ve signed my first royalty-based deal. I’m optimistic that this is just the beginning.”

In a follow-up, William adds that the deal came from a TAXI brief for Spaghetti Western music, and his track ‘The Stand Off’ was signed on an exclusive basis.

“What I really value about TAXI is how detailed and well-structured the listings are,” he says. “The reference tracks, stylistic direction, ending guidance, and tone notes gave me a strong foundation to approach each composition with purpose.”

He also credits TAXI TV and TAXI’s Forum as key tools for learning and growth, and hopes to attend the Road Rally in person one day.

Congratulations, William, and thanks for the shoutout about the listings, TAXI TV, and the Forum. You’re doing all the right stuff, and we look forward to hearing about more successes!

Xavier Duch

Signed his Heroic Sports instrumental track, plus two more tracks, as well

Xavier Duch – Barcelona, España
Xavier is thrilled to report that a TAXI forward recently led to a signing — and then, even more good news followed quickly behind it.
Xavier wrote to tell us, “Yee-haa! I got one forward for one Heroic Sports instrumental track and this time… with an agreement! Today is my day!!!!!! I was initially offered a deal for one track, and less than a week later, I got another email requesting two more tracks as well.”
Xavier added that he’s in the process of joining a PRO and is excited for these deals to become an important step forward in his journey.

Big congrats, Xavier! We love when a single forward results in follow-up signings. Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Jeffrey Bonacci

Signed his first song and says TAXI TV is “invaluable”

Jeffrey Bonacci – Henderson, NV USA
Jeffrey reports, “My song ‘American Made Thunder’ was chosen and signed by a great music library as a result of a TAXI forward. TAXI has given me an incredible outlet for my music and a chance to learn and grow. Watching TAXI TV has been invaluable — the information shared there is truly priceless. Thanks to everyone at TAXI for all you do!”

Congrats, Jeffrey! You know what they say — you never forget your first! And thanks for watching TAXI TV!

Colin O'Donohoe

Placements on USA, Bravo, Discovery, Animal Planet, Peacock, and E! Entertainment.

Colin O'Donohoe - Cleveland, OH USA
Colin O'Donohoe happily credits the music licensing companies, friends and colleagues he’s met at TAXI Road Rallies—along with forwards he’s received for his music through TAXI—for his ongoing success writing music for television. Over nearly 15 years, his music has appeared on several major networks including USA, Bravo, Discovery, Animal Planet, Peacock, and E! Entertainment.

His work was featured extensively on The Dr. Oz Show during its Emmy-winning run, as well as on The Day I Ran China, Chrisley Knows Best, and Northwest Law, among others.

Beyond sync placements, Colin’s Dream CPR albums have collectively earned nearly 9 million global streams, with seven albums surpassing one million streams each.

Between 2017 and 2024, Colin split his time between the U.S. and four other continents. His international career includes being commissioned to write symphonic works for a Turkish orchestra, founding and conducting the Pangean Orchestra in both the U.S. and Turkey, and performing with six top-level samba schools in Brazil — even serving as assistant to Mestre Pablo Gabriel for the championship-winning Porto Da Pedra at the 2023 Sambadrome Carnival.

Legally blind from macular degeneration since age 25, Colin continues to compose, conduct, and perform worldwide. In 2026, he plans to launch his new book Echoes from Arlington to help veterans and military families while also debuting his first Irish-American musical, Apostrophate ‘Me.

Congratulations, Colin! You’ve got a formidable career going, and we’re proud to have played a role in helping you accomplish that!

Marco Iannello

Placements in TV shows in the U.S., Sweden, Germany, Italy, and Norway

Marco Iannello – Manchester, UK
Marco recently shared that a forward from TAXI for his Ambient/New Age track ‘Lake Reflections’ led to an exciting signing with a great music library specializing in in-store music. “That track had actually been returned for an earlier listing,” Marco says, “but thanks to the screener’s feedback, I made improvements that helped it get forwarded and eventually signed.”

Soon after, the company requested more material, and Marco sent eight additional tracks — all of which were accepted!
Since then, Marco’s music has been placed in several international TV programs, including:

  1. A subtle tension piece featured in CNN’s Fentanyl in America: A Way Out
  2. A horror track called “Do Not Go Outside,” used in the Swedish show Sommarskuggan (Summer Shadow)
  3. A Romani-flavored dramedy piece, ‘Where Is Istvan,’ featured on the German factual show Achtung Abzocke (Attention: Ripoff)
  4. Two uplifting orchestral tracks used in Italy’s Boss in Incognito (Undercover Boss)
  5. An Americana track, “Appalachian Rocks,” placed in Norway’s Boksen (The Box)

Marco adds, “The feedback from TAXI’s screeners has been invaluable in helping me elevate my music to a professional standard. And of course, the Road Rally is the event that can’t be missed — it truly feels like being part of one big creative family.”

Marco, we can barely keep up with all your placements! Congratulations, you might be headed for the Hall of Fame. Keep up the great work, and thank you, as always, for keeping us in the loop.

Matthew Levin

Two placements on the Investigation Discovery TV series, Operation Undercover

Matthew Levin – Agoura Hills, CA USA
Matthew secured two new placements on the Investigation Discovery series Operation Undercover. His trailer track, “Deus Ex Machina,” was featured in the episode Pueblo, Colorado.

“Deeply thankful for TAXI’s help in connecting me!” he says.

Congrats on that great placement, Matthew! Here’s to many more, and thanks for letting us know.

David Bluefield

Feature film placement in an Ethan Coen movie

David Bluefield – Redondo Beach, CA USA
Veteran TAXI member David Bluefield recently celebrated another placement — his song “I Told You So” (originally recorded by his 1970s Warner Bros. band Kindred) is featured in the new film Honey Don’t by famed director, Ethan Coen.

In addition to that success, David has gone viral on YouTube, where his videos featuring himself on piano and his late father on drums have garnered over 4 million views. With more than 80,000 subscribers, David continues to promote his original song catalog and create new productions with musicians from around the world.

“I’ve been with TAXI since the days of John Braheny and Len Chandler’s LA Songwriter Showcase,” David says. “There’s no service anywhere close to what TAXI provides. The range of opportunities is mind-boggling — and the critiques are thoughtful, enlightening, and always make my day when I see the word ‘congratulations’ in my inbox.”

Wow, that’s a cool placement, Dave! Congratulations, and thank you for letting us know about it!

Dick Flood

Three placements in TV shows on Hulu, Netflix, and HBO

Dick Flood (via his son Dave) – Salley, SC USA
The legacy of singer, songwriter, and naturalist Dick Flood (also known as Okefenokee Joe) continues to shine thanks to ongoing opportunities that originated through TAXI years ago. His classic 1962 country tune “I’m Goin’ Home” was recently featured in the FX crime drama The Lowdown, now streaming on Hulu. Another song, “Jammin’ the Blues”—recorded by Dick Flood & The Pathfinders—found new life in the Netflix series Boots.

These placements follow earlier uses of Dick’s music in major films such as Clint Eastwood’s The Mule, demonstrating how timeless his catalog remains.

Dick’s son Dave writes,
“Recently, we’ve had the joy of hearing Dad’s music reach new audiences again. TAXI played a major role in getting his material into the hands of the right people years ago, and his songs are still finding new homes today. It means so much to our family that his work is living on.”
Dick Flood’s remarkable life—both as a Nashville artist and as the beloved Georgia conservation figure Okefenokee Joe—is chronicled in his autobiographies My Walk Among the Stars and Swampwise.

As of November 14, another track, “Come In From the Storm,” has also been placed, this time in the HBO series The Chair Company.

“Congrats,” Dick’s publisher added. “And as always — thanks TAXI!”

Congrats to all, and we agree that it’s pretty cool that Dick’s legacy lives on through his excellent music. Here’s to many, many more!

Ron Murphy

Four guitar instrumentals signed with three music libraries

Ron Murphy – New Baltimore, MI USA
“I’m excited to share that over the past two months, I’ve had four pieces signed with three great music libraries — all guitar instrumentals. I’ve been a TAXI member for about four years now, and in that time, I’ve learned so much about improving my songwriting, mixing, and mastering.
The feedback from TAXI’s screeners, combined with the educational content on TAXI TV, has helped me grow tremendously as both a musician and a recording engineer.

I’ve now had six total placements so far, and I’m thrilled with the progress. TAXI has truly been a solid foundation for my development and success.”

Congratulations, and thank you for telling us about your deals, Ron. Please keep us in the loop as they get licensed in some shows or films!

Kenneth Vis

Contacted within days of his first TAXI forward and signed four tracks

Kenneth Vis – Oro Valley, AZ USA
“I received my very first forward for an ambient track — and within days, I got an email offering a contract from a great music library! I signed it immediately and have since sent three more tracks their way.

It took me a few years to get to this point. When I first joined TAXI, I was a long-time guitarist but had little experience using virtual instruments. Through TAXI’s feedback, listings, and guidance, I learned how to refine my production skills and tailor my music to fit sync opportunities.

This deal never would have happened without TAXI. Even when the feedback feels tough, it’s there to help you grow. Stay patient, keep learning, and don’t give up!”

Congratulations on that awesomely quick deal, and for having a great attitude, as well!

Glenn Rueger

Just signed his first contract resulting from a TAXI forward

Glenn Rueger – Torrance, CA USA
“I’m excited to share that I just signed my first contract as a result of a TAXI submission! I’ve worked in sync licensing for more than two decades, but I joined TAXI to expand my network and connect with new people and opportunities.
After about three years with TAXI, I’ve not only signed with a respected boutique music library overseas but also gained several lifelong friends through this incredible community.

Special thanks to the screener who gave my track the chance to go through — that forward made all the difference. TAXI continues to be one of the most valuable resources in my career.”

Great news, Glenn! We hope this is the first of many. Congratulations.

Tom R. Quick

Signed multiple tracks with several companies on both sides of the Atlantic

Tom R. Quick – Purton, Wiltshire, UK
Tom’s recent streak of success includes several contracts with top-notch music libraries across multiple genres—all as a direct result of TAXI forwards.

“I’ve now signed two horror trailer tracks, two chiptune tracks, and a Middle-Eastern ambient instrumental with three different great music libraries on opposite sides of the Atlantic,” Tom says.

A collaboration with fellow TAXI member Albin Hillborg, whom he met at the Road Rally, led to several additional co-written tracks being signed to yet another excellent library. As a result, Tom is now included on multiple companies’ direct-mailing lists and is receiving more opportunities than ever.

He adds:
“None of this would've happened without TAXI, and I’m a very grateful fan of the platform. Early on, having tracks returned felt painful, but by sticking with the process and applying the feedback, my composition and production skills—and my confidence—have grown tremendously.”

Tom recently signed a slow blues track and two dramedy hip-hop cues as well. “Opportunities are truly opening up,” he says.

Congratulations, Tom! We hope these are the first of many, many more!

Darren Glover

Placements on Amazon, Discovery, Disney+, Nickelodeon, Max, VH1, MTV, Paramount+, TLC, and YouTube

Darren Glover – Stockport, Cheshire, UK
“I’m currently in my second year with TAXI and thrilled to report a new deal for several ’60s and ’70s Psychedelic tracks! During my first year, I signed with three great music libraries, and in just the first six months of year two, I’ve signed with three more. I’ve really started to focus on nailing the briefs — I can’t stress enough how precise the wording and the audio references are in those listings. Stick to them like glue, guys!

In just over a year, I’ve already received placements and sales through these awesome companies, and the relationships I’ve built with them have been fantastic. They’re approachable, supportive, and continually ask for more music. My music has been heard on Amazon, Discovery, Disney+, Nickelodeon, Max, VH1, MTV, Paramount+, TLC, and YouTube, as well as several corporate placements.

I can’t wait to attend my first TAXI Road Rally this year!”

Wow, Darren! You’re kicking butt and taking no prisoners! Congratulations, and thank you for letting us know. Please keep us in the loop as more placements roll in!

Juan A. Avila

Landed a placement on Bravo’s Love Hotel!

Juan A. Avila – North Miami, FL USA
“I just discovered that my Reggaeton track ‘Esta Noche’ was featured on Bravo’s Love Hotel! I found out when I noticed an increase in my ASCAP royalties — always a great surprise. What makes this especially meaningful is that ‘Esta Noche’ was actually my very first placement nearly nine years ago, thanks to TAXI!

Since that first break, the song has taken on a life of its own — appearing in films, multiple TV shows, and now finding a new audience on Love Hotel. It’s incredible that a song I made almost a decade ago continues to generate placements and royalties.

This year, three more of my tracks were signed to several top-notch music libraries, and I can’t wait to see where they land next. TAXI connects real artists with real industry opportunities, and I’m living proof that with persistence, your music can keep finding new homes and new fans around the world.”

Hey, Juan! Great news, nice placement, and congratulations!

Brenna Swanger

Placements in Hers TV commercial, Netflix, and A&E

Brenna Swanger – Endicott, NY USA
“I’m excited to share that I recently landed my first TV placements — all thanks to TAXI!

My track ‘Jungle Boogie’ is featured in an ad campaign for the brand Hers, and it was also placed in the Netflix show Singles Inferno. Additionally, my tracks ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Friday Evening’ were placed in the A&E show Lakefront Luxury.
TAXI also connected me with a great music library last year, where I signed five instrumental tracks — the very same ones now starting to see placements!

Thank you to Michael and the entire TAXI staff for providing incredible opportunities, guidance, and community. Between the submission feedback, the TAXI Forum, and the Road Rally, TAXI continues to help members grow their careers and achieve real results. I’m beyond grateful! See you at the Rally!”

Wow, great placements, Brenna, and thank you for letting us know. And we look forward to seeing you at the Rally!

William Giakas

Got a placement on Married at First Sight on Peacock

William Giakas – Rockford, IL USA
“I joined TAXI about two years ago and have had a number of forwards, but this week I learned that one of my new vocal songs, ‘I Like the Way You Move (feat. ZAYA),’ was placed in Married at First Sight, Season 19, Episode 4, airing October 2025 on Peacock — my first official placement!

That placement came after TAXI forwarded one of my earlier songs to a great music library, which led to an ongoing relationship. Since then, I’ve signed with several top-notch music libraries and publishers.

TAXI introduced me to the professional side of the music industry and taught me so much through TAXI TV and screener feedback. I still get plenty of returns (LOL), but every one of them helps me grow. Thank you, TAXI — you’ve made a huge difference in my career!”

You are so welcome, William, and congratulations! Keep up the great work, and things will gain even more momentum.

Kyle Herman

Signed his first deal for an Ambient instrumental

Kyle Herman – Elkridge, MD USA
“I’m thrilled to share that my ambient instrumental ‘Boundless’ was signed non-exclusively by a great company that represents composers for film, TV, and retail music rotation. This marks my first official deal as a TAXI member!

This follows several promising forwards for tracks like ‘Faded Ink’ and ‘Where Hope Rests,’ which helped me refine my sound in Ambient, Jazz, and Hip-Hop genres. The feedback I’ve received from TAXI’s screeners has been instrumental in improving my arrangements, production, and focus as a composer.

What I love most about TAXI is how it connects independent creators to real industry opportunities. The community is supportive, the feedback is professional and actionable, and the results are real. TAXI has been the bridge between my ideas in the studio and getting my music placed in the world.”

Congrats, Kyle! And thank you for reporting this deal. Keep us posted when it gets some placements!

David Banks

His track got signed just hours after it was forwarded

David Banks – Lancashire, Morecambe, UK
“After more than ten years as a TAXI member, I just got a new placement for my track ‘Fiend from the Shadows,’ which was forwarded to a listing requesting Horror/Tension instrumentals.

I’ve never had a horror cue forwarded before, so when I received an email from a great boutique library just hours after the forward saying they wanted to sign it for an immediate project, I was over the moon!

Even after all these years, I still feel the sting of returns, but I’m glad I never gave up. TAXI keeps me pushing forward, and now I’ve added another great connection to my network. Thanks, TAXI!”

Congratulations, David! Nice that it was such a quick response, and thanks for letting us know.

Nicolás Noguera

Got his first deal in less than a month

Nicolás Noguera – Buenos Aires, Argentina
“I joined TAXI less than a month ago, and I already have my first deal! My instrumental track ‘Blazing Bazaar’ was forwarded and signed by a great music library through one of TAXI’s listings — and it all happened in under four weeks!

The amazing part is that I was literally watching a TAXI Road Rally panel featuring that same library’s owner when the email came through.

I’ve already received a couple more forwards and plenty of valuable feedback. TAXI TV and the education that comes with membership have been essential for my growth as a new composer. Hopefully, one day I’ll be able to attend the Rally in person — for now, I’m saving up!”

Nicolás, congratulations, and pretty cool you were watching that Rally video with the library owner in it! It was meant to be!!

Nicolas Scherzinger

Just signed his first contract and loves the Road Rally

Nicolas Scherzinger – New York City, NY USA
“I just signed my first music library contract for my instrumental track ‘Ashes Never Forget,’ and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been with TAXI for just over a year, and this deal wouldn’t have happened without them.

As someone who’s an experienced composer but new to film and TV, TAXI has been the best possible teacher. The feedback is detailed and actionable, and the Road Rally is truly life-changing — a mix of inspiration, education, and community that keeps you fired up long after you get home.

It took me months to apply everything I learned at my first Rally, and I can’t wait for my second one this November. I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces and hopefully celebrating my first placement soon. Thank you, TAXI!”

Congratulations, Nicolas, and we’re so glad you’re coming to the Rally. People who miss it have no idea how much they’re missing, and how much faster their careers could move forward.

Rachael Scott

Got offers from SIX companies from being on a TAXI compilation

Rachael Scott – Kamuela, HI USA
“My song ‘I’m All About That’ was forwarded as part of a TAXI compilation for uplifting Pop songs for ads, and from that single forward, I received six offers from different companies! I ultimately signed the song — along with two others — to a great music library, and now have relationships with several other top-notch companies for future projects.

I absolutely love TAXI and often find myself defending it to non-believers. The education I’ve gained from TAXI TV and the forums has been life-changing, and the screener feedback has elevated my songwriting and production.

I’m really looking forward to attending my first TAXI Road Rally this November. Thank you, Michael and the entire TAXI team, for everything you do!”

Robbin Johnson

Placements in a Mercedes-Benz commercial, ABC, BET, and football broadcasts on ABC.

Robbin “RJ Full Range” Johnson – Moreno Valley, CA USA
Robbin has been with TAXI on and off for years. The feedback and critiques he received helped him grow, even during the periods when he wasn’t getting many forwards. Through TAXI, he made lasting connections that have led to placements in a Mercedes-Benz commercial, ABC’s Big Sky (with his song “Oh You”), BET’s Hit the Floor, and football broadcasts on ABC.

Robbin says: “The best part of TAXI is once you make a connection, it’s yours to build on. TAXI opened the door, but I got to walk through it. It’s such a powerful way to form lasting and lucrative relationships.”

Great placements, Robbin, especially that Mercedes TV commercial. Thanks for letting us know, and congratulations!

Ove Schei

Landed a placement in a Google TV commercial

Ove Schei – Stokmarknes, Vesteraalen, Norway
Ove got the shock of his life when he received an email saying one of his tracks had been placed in a Google commercial. His heart rate jumped from 60 bpm to 120 as the news sank in.

Ove first connected with this publisher through TAXI years ago, and that relationship has led to placements with the National Bank of Greece, Vodafone, UPS Store holiday ads, and now Google.

He says: “If TAXI works for a guy from a small town above the Arctic Circle with just 4,000 people, it can work for anyone. TAXI gave me the tools, the connections, and the encouragement to keep going.”

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Ove! Congratulations on landing the Google commercial. That’s a great one, especially coming from a composer in a small town above the Arctic Circle. Stay warm, and let us know when you see Santa flying by in a couple of months!

Andrew Reilly

Placements on Nat Geo, A&E, and several on Netflix

Andrew Reilly (aka Riff Kitten) – Plymouth, MN USA
When Andrew joined TAXI just two-and-a-half years ago, he had no sync network at all. Today, thanks to TAXI forwards, he’s signing more deals than he can keep up with—a good problem to have! His placements include:

  1. To Catch a Smuggler: Tropical Takedown (Nat Geo)
  2. Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Netflix)
  3. Lakefront Luxury (A&E)
  4. Later Daters (Netflix)
  5. Love Village (Netflix)

He says: TAXI turned me from an isolated, frustrated musician into a sync composer with a steady stream of placements. The Road Rally gave me friendships and collaborators I now call family, and TAXI feedback continues to sharpen my skills. I finally look forward to opening my royalty statements!”

Wow, Andrew! From “zero” to “hero” in just two-and-a-half years! Congrats, and thanks for keeping us in the loop!!

Gary Shaffer

Horror Film placement and lots of music signed to 5 companies via TAXI

Gary Shaffer – Point Pleasant, NJ USA
Gary shared that the past few weeks have been heating up with TAXI-related signings. He just completed a 15-song album of Country Hip-Hop instrumentals for a UK library, bringing his total with them to 19 tracks. He’s also close to finishing an album of Country songs for a publisher he first met at a TAXI Road Rally one-to-one session. His song “Good Man on a Bad Streak” appeared in the 2025 horror film The Dogs, now streaming.

Gary now has tracks signed with five music licensing companies, and he told us, “Each of these signings came from relationships and opportunities acquired through TAXI. The trifecta of connections, community, and comprehension TAXI offers can’t be beat. Joining TAXI and attending the Road Rally are by far the two most important things I’ve done for my music career.”

Congrats, Gary! We’re so happy to see your career taking off!!

Nicola Morrison

Placements on Netflix, Peacock, and Polish TV shows helped fund her 1st album

Nicola Morrison – Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Nicola’s very first TAXI submission back in 2020 was forwarded and led to an exclusive deal for five songs. Years later, those songs are still generating placements and royalties, with appearances in Love Is Blind Japan (Netflix), Love Island USA (Peacock), and the Polish shows M Jak Miłość and Barwy Szczęścia.

She’s also just signed a new deal for in-store music, plus a repeating non-exclusive deal for two additional tracks. Nicola adds:

TAXI gave me the foot in the door I needed. That first forward led to long-term collaborations, placements, and now passive income that’s helping fund my debut album. The feedback, the forwards, and the community have been absolutely invaluable.”

Great placements, Nicola, congratulations! We can wait to hear your album, and thanks for letting us know about your placements.

Stephen Wood

Got his first international placement and royalty payment

Stephen Wood – Seattle, WA USA
Stephen recently received his first international royalty from a dark tension track called “Pulse,” written almost 10 years ago and signed to an exclusive film trailer library he met at the 2023 Road Rally. Proof that patience pays off!
He also recently received a forward for another dark trailer piece that had been previously rejected many times. By revisiting old TAXI feedback and applying it, the track was finally forwarded. Stephen says:

TAXI’s specific review comments and their personal support are why I’ve stayed a member. Add in the Road Rally, and you’ve got an unbeatable formula for growing as a composer.”

Congratulations, Stephen! You know what they say… you never forget your first!

Robert L. Caviness, Jr.

10 placements in a single day

Robert L. Caviness, Jr. – Plymouth, MN USA
Robert hit a personal milestone with 10 placements in a single day. His collaboration with TAXI member Eliza Pope, “Rich Girl Problems,” was placed multiple times on the German news show Aktueller Bericht (Current Report) across Saarländischer Rundfunk, SWR FS, and Tagesschau 24.

Since joining TAXI less than three years ago, Robert has signed with nearly 10 publishers—all through TAXI connections.

He reflects: “Every single deal and placement I’ve had has come through TAXI. The Road Rally classes and feedback from TAXI’s screeners shaped me into a better sync composer. Honestly, every placement feels like a win for the entire TAXI community.”

Ten placements in a single day is quite an accomplishment, Robert! Thanks for letting us know, and please keep us in the loop as more placements roll in!

Dennis Hughett

Got his first placements in Germany and South Korea

Dennis Hughett – Atlanta, GA USA
Dennis just celebrated his first-ever placements, with three instrumentals placed on international TV in Germany and South Korea. The tracks included a '60s guitar cue, a spy guitar cue, and a tension cue.

These placements were possible because of a key connection Dennis made at his very first TAXI Road Rally. He explains:
The Rally was eye-opening. It educated me, corrected misconceptions I had about the sync world, and introduced me to the people who opened real doors. Four years of persistence with TAXI led to my first placements—and it feels like only the beginning.”

Richard Couture – Granby, QC Canada
Richard’s track “New Beginnings” was forwarded by TAXI in May 2024. Since then, he has signed 42 tracks with that same library, composed instrumental cues for 10 albums, and completed his first full album of investigative crime tension music called “Shadows and Whispers.” He’s already been asked to start another one.

Richard says: “It’s only my second year with TAXI, but I’ve learned that consistency, hard work, and openness pay off. TAXI feedback, education, and opportunities are invaluable. I don’t have placements yet, but I know they’re coming, and I’m so grateful for the relationships I’ve built.”

Congratulations, Richard! Please let us know when those tracks start resulting in placements, and thank you for keeping us in the loop!
