We don't just call the company TAXI, we really own this one! Members enjoy it every year at the Rally.

"The Best Music Convention on Earth!"

You probably won't ever understand the true value of TAXI until you come to our annual convention, the Road Rally. It's such a powerful weekend that it truly transforms lives.

I know it's not always easy or affordable to fly to LA, but remember, the Rally is free because we want every one of our members to dig deep in to this treasure trove of power tools for artists and songwriters.

So many great connections and deals have happened at the Rally, that it's become legendary. I hope you can find a way to join us next November. Come and get up close and personal with heavy weight music business executives and network like crazy with your fellow members from your own back yard, and around the world. Start saving for your plane flight now, and find out why people say that the Road Rally is the single best weekend in their music careers.

See you in November,
Michael

Hello Michael,

The TAXI rally was one of the most wonderful experiences I have had in our business. It was a joy for Margaret and me to be there.

I must tell you that the incredible spirit of camaraderie, encouragement and enthusiasm blew me away. I had, of course, read about it in the listings and heard from you that it was fun and people have a blast. However being there, being part of it, and interacting face to face with everybody and everything cannot be explained unless you were there. What an atmosphere! We went home each night with aching faces-not because we were tired from doing anything but from smiling so much.

Every aspect of it was top end - every detail appreciated. The clinicians and panels were brilliant and the way it all moved and kept on moving was so impressive. I could go on and on but I want to mention the staff. Each and every one of them shone with professionalism and personal warmth that imbued the event with that special spirit that I mentioned earlier. We were treated like gold — because THEY are gold.

Finally you and Michael have the heart and SOUL of all this flowing from you. What you have created is a blessing. Your presence and stamp of integrity and love was everywhere (the two of you were everywhere all the time).

I was delighted and proud to be part of it. I went there hoping that in some small way I might be able to pass on some of my experience or some information that could be beneficial to the members (or a member). Instead I felt I left there having LEARNED so much.

Dear Mr. Laskow,

I just enjoyed my first Road Rally after signing up a couple weeks before the start of some of the greatest musical information and networking ever presented in one glorious place. It was one of the best events of my life.

The Road Rally was a life changing event and has helped my music career in so many different positive ways. I appreciate your hard work, and consideration for all the artists like me who are unknown today, but a step closer to the dream of being known because of your Road Rally. Thank you for a magical, musical, wonderful time.

Sincerely
Ellen St. Peter

Dear Mr. Laskow,

Congratulations on such a successful weekend!

It was such a pleasure and privilege to attend the Road Rally 2003. Thank you for putting on such an indispensable resource for artists and songwriters. This was mine and my father's first Rally, and the entire conference exceeded our expectations in every way. From the brilliant guest speakers to insightful workshops to networking with talent from all over the world; I walked away from the conference very inspired and excited about my vision as an artist.

As a new member to TAXI, I was just amazed at the resources available. I now can't wait to delve deeper into the TAXI resources to expand on the information I learned at the Rally.

Again, thank you so much for creating such a memorable and inspiring weekend.

Sincerely,

Hi Michael;

Well, in keeping with a personal tradition started after Road Rally #1, here is my "Annual Road Rally Feedback Letter" to you and your staff.

It's hard to imagine this year's event being better than last year, but I must say you and your folks certainly pulled it off; it was definitely the best Road Rally ever! The new Driver's Ed Classes were a welcome addition to a number of people that I talked to who were interested in more specific information about certain subjects. Everything else was just as excellent, if not a little better, than the Road Rallies of the past.

This year, my guest was a young singer-songwriter that I'm working with, who had never attended a Road Rally before. She sent me a quick e-mail on the day we got back that simply stated, "I feel like I have grown so much in one weekend." It was nice to hear that from her, because I know if she continues to attend, they will get better and better for her, not only in terms of information, but also in the reality of developing relationships with people in the Music Business.

In closing, I'd like to repeat what I've said before (not only to you, but to other people who are considering joining TAXI): The TAXI Road Rally alone is worth the price of membership. There is simply no place on the planet that anyone can get so much useful information, from so many Music Industry people, in 3 days time! Thanks again to you and your staff for yet another great job. I look forward to seeing all of you next year.

Hello everyone in L.A.!

I just had to write and tell you what a wonderful and educational time I had at the Rally! Being able to be around so many people from all walks of life, all having the same purpose (love of music) was truly a blessing. And being able to perform was unbelieveable!

You guys are the best! I wish it was still Saturday.

See ya next year!

Dear TAXI,

I went to this years Road Rally and had a most amazing experience! I met several people in the same way that I remember meeting people when I went to summer camp when I was a kid. We didn't know a soul then we slowly met and formed little groups of friends that hung out the rest of the Rally and then were so sad to have to leave! I feel that I met some of the most amazing people I have ever met and will be keeping in touch with these people for a LONG TIME TO COME!

Thank you again for trying so hard to make everyone feel like they are a part of this and keeping the quality so high!!

Dear Michael and staff,

I have no doubts that your email is full of praises concerning the Road Rally. Again, it was great. It was my fifth and I came away inspired and full of new ideas.

Where else could an old hippy, pro country guitarist/writer from California meet a techno-dance programmer from England and develop a close friendship? Our genres are so radically different that collaboration is almost impossible. The same is true with myself and a jazz vocalist/lyicist from New York city, but the friendship surpasses the music.

I would never, ever, get a chance to meet these wonderful people without TAXI. Business is business, but TAXI has a heart. I wanted to send my praise to you for creating this "family" of members. Success can't only be measured in business terms.

Doug, Michael, and TAXI Crew,

Every year, I leave the Road Rally asking myself, "How will they ever top that?" And every year, you amaze me by doing just that. This year's Road Rally was, by far, the very best I've attended. And I've been to almost all of 'em!

The Driver's Ed courses added a whole new dynamic to the Road Rally. Just by having several seminars going on at once, a person tends to do more networking by simply moving from one room to another!

The one-on-one mentoring is also a good thing. You've done this for two years now, and for two years, it's been very advantageous for me to take part in that! My guest, simply came along to check out this event that I rant about every year. Being a FOH Engineer, he was just looking to make a few contacts (which he did, by the way). By the time we were on our way home, Bob is tossing out song ideas left and right! The icing on the cake was when we were waiting for our connecting flight in Pittsburgh. He looked at me and said, "I'll never hear a song the same way again."

All in all, a job well done. I learned even more about the art. I met more people and made some more promising contacts. TAXI not only helps me craft better songs, but it hones my people and business skills, as well. And that's worth a lot more than the price of admission.

Take care guys, and thanks again.

Dear Michael,

Thanks for organizing this wonderful event. This was the first Road Rally I attended. I had no idea what to expect and even thought it might not be right for me, but it was truly fantastic. I met so many cool people-all the members I met were friendly and open and pleasant to be around. I've made many new friends and some great business contacts.

Your staff are to be commended on their hard work and willingness to make everything run smoothly. Everything was done very professionally, and again, the overall vibe was very friendly. I think that's a reflection of the management (yes, that's a direct compliment. Cue tympani roll and cymbal crash), the administration, and their desire to manifest a vision.

Next, I found all of the workshops, panels, and discussions to be very valuable and worthwhile. There was a lighthearted vibe in the presentations. In exploring topics relating to craft, business, professionalism-the tone was never too stuffy, presenters were very pleasant, and there was plenty of humor. The atmosphere was still relaxed when it could have felt very competitive, or authoritatively stern.

All of the workshops that I attended were excellent. I felt so charged up being around creative and enthusiastic people. Professionally and socially, I've gained so much from this experience. You and your staff are to be commended on a job well done.

Michael, thanks so much for a wonderful event. Ahhl bee bahhck!

Hi Doug,

I want to express my amazement and appreciation for the Road Rally. This was the first one I've been to and it was enlightening, inspirational and extremely helpful. I learned things about songwriting, about production, about studio equipment, and about the business.

Thank you for providing such an incredible resource.
