Steve Rice is a creative and eclectic keyboardist, accordionist and composer based bi-coastally in Seattle Wa and Philadelphia PA. In addition to his own bands, he tours with several groups, including "Rouge", specializing in French Cafe and Cabaret Music, "Shawn's Kugel", a creative original Klezmer/Jazz ensemble, "Alchymeia" a Ukrainian/Celtic folk fusion band, and the renowned "Harry James Orchestra" under the direction of Fred Radke, Steve is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. He majored in film scoring, and was winner of the "Oscar Peterson Award" during his attendance.
Steve's compositions have appeared in film and television shows including: Big Bang Theory, Sons of Anarchy, Smash, 10 Things I Hate About You; 108.1 FM Radio (Italian Indie thriller) Lost Years (CBC documentary). Steve appears in person as accordionist and "plot device" in the film “A Different Path” (SXSW 2010 Indie); Steve's song "That Place" co-written with vocalist and former Chippendale Troy Kline has been signed as the pitch song for a major international campaign for "Moods Condoms"
Steve's session credits as accordionist include many interesting recordings that you may have heard! Steve performed the accordion parts for the popular video games Team Fortress 2 and Left for Dead (Valve) as well as Bilingual Books "French in 10 Minutes a Day" and "Italian in 10 Minutes a Day" language courses.
