My love of music started when I was 5 years old due to being brought up in a large music loving family who all had different tastes. I first became aware of the Beatles, Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll. I grew up in Scotland where I became serious at music at the age of 12 years old. I picked up a guitar at 20. In my late teens and early 20s and after busking through Europe, I returned to Scotland. I was lucky enough to receive along with my songwriting partner a record and publishing deal with 2 major Indie Labels. I joined the music scene and became friends with the likes of Paul Weller, Robert Smith of the Cure, Ian McCulloch of Echo and the
Bunnymen and once I was in the recording studio and literally bumped into Paul McCartney and we talked about Soccer (go figure!). I also borrowed Paul Weller's guitar for 2 years instead of the 2 weeks we agreed on! Paul was forever asking for it and eventually got it back (I loved that guitar)!. In Australia I have worked with the likes of Paul Hester of Crowded House, Daniel Jones of Savage Garden and his brothers. In between all of this I have played numerous gigs and honed in my craft. My goal is to continue to write songs for other artists. I have a large repertoire of songs in a number of different genres and continue to write. I am adept at writing songs on topics requested by musicians. My songs suit solo artists either male or female and bands.
