Simon Söfelde is a composer, producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Sweden. Coming from a musical background of both Pop/Rock and Classical music he now makes his living by writing songs and original compositions for ensembles and orchestras as well as arrangements for other artists. When not in his studio producing music you'll probably find him on a stage somewhere in Europe or in the U.S. backing a singer with his guitar. As a guitarist he has performed at venues like Tiny Desk (NPR), Bonnaroo Music & Arts and SXSV. He is also a member of the duo The Beautiful Swedes.
The Beautiful Swedes is a retro-pop/rock duo based in Sweden. Their music can be described as a new uplifting wind from the past with a contemporary flavor and a great belief in the future. Strong influences are Abba, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, First Aid Kit and Mumford & Sons. The duo got to know each other at the age of ten when they wrote their first song together and they have been playing music together since then. Over the years their adventures put them together with many bands and different artist-collaborations which led to extensive touring throughout Europe and the U.S. at famous venues such as Tiny Desk (NPR), Bonnaroo Music & Arts, SXSV, Swedish Grammy Awards, Funkhaus Berlin, Eurosonic, Brooklyn Steel, The O2 Arena and Omeara London. Now they decided to share their own music with the world. The name comes from Swedish singer Albin Lee Meldau’s unofficial band name Band of Beautiful Swedes.
