Shivan

Shivan is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, performer, producer, and neurobiologist based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Northern California and relocated to LA six years ago, he is still figuring out how everything is going to weave together, but he is excited to connect with people through his work in science and music!
Recently, Shivan has been mostly occupied with solo projects and frequently releases new original songs on which he plays all instruments, sings, and mixes from his home studio.
Shivan tries to compose lyrics and melodies organically from emotion in order to appeal to the heart, while leaving space for freedom of interpretation. Lyrics and instrumentals are often obsessively revised in striving to create sincere, relatable, accessible, and catchy reflections of common human experiences.
Shivan also performs regularly in venues across LA and surrounding areas, drawing inspiration from Ed Sheeran and using guitars, keyboards, and a loop pedal to turn a solo performance into a full live show.
