Rex Perry

Rex is a composer, producer and performer, focused on electronic cinematic instrumental genres. He is a California native, born in San Diego and currently living in Los Angeles. He began studying music at the age of 8, bought his first Moog Synthesizer while in high school and attended a college level electronic music course while a high school senior.

While majoring in music performance and composition at UCLA, Rex began performing in rock bands and co-producing while still a student. While at UCLA, he focused on furthering his education in electronica while also developing skills in composition and orchestration. He was also a member of the esteemed UCLA Men’s Glee Club, touring Japan in his Senior year, performing live on Japanese national television shows and singing for the Emperor of Japan.

Following a 10 year hiatus to engage in humanitarian work, Rex returned to his work as an artist and established his own multimedia production company, including music production, web development, video, graphic design and presentation media, live music event production, sound engineering and performing as a solo keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist and band producer.

Finding new musical inspiration in recent years, Rex has focused more and more attention on returning to his roots as an electronic music composer and producer while having become a top working pianist, vocalist and band leader in venues all over Los Angeles County.
