Maya de Vitry was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and she is now based in Nashville, Tennessee where she releases music on her own label, Mad Maker Studio. In addition to writing and recording as a solo artist, she deeply enjoys collaborating with other musicians and songwriters. Previous to her full-length solo releases (Adaptations and How To Break A Fall) in 2019 and 2020, she spent seven years writing, touring, and recording as a member of acclaimed folk/Americana trio The Stray Birds. Rolling Stone Country has praised de Vitry’s ability to balance an “intensely personal, microscopic style of storytelling with a straightforward, accessible delivery.” Outside of music - or perhaps, intertwined with music - she loves gardening, outdoor adventures, and studying language.
Her 3rd full-length album will arrive January 2022.
