In the mid 90's, brothers Mike and Matt Burton, recruited Matt’s wife, Melissa Mello, to form the synth pop group Attic Base. Formed in sunny California, the group released their first album independently and saw two singles hit the commercial airwaves. Their success caught the attention of Universal Music, but wanting to retain creative control, chose indie label Kinetic Response to release their 2nd album, Night Vision. This produced several singles which not only enjoyed commercial radio success, but found a much larger audience on both international and US compilation albums. After releasing their 3d album, New World View, Attic Base disbanded. Now, composers Melissa Mello and Matt Burton, create sleek, sexy music under the project name Mellostorm. Their tracks have been featured in 100’s of major network TV shows and commercials including MTVs Road Rules, Made, The Seven, Last Call with Carson Daly, Remodeled, The Golf Channels Big Break, a national Walmart commercial, and Real Housewives of Atlanta.
