Max Blum

Max Blum is a songwriter, guitarist and producer who lives in Northern California Wine Country. Originally from Marin County, he grew up surrounded by neighborhood music legends including Huey Lewis and Steve Perry.

Max got his first guitar at 13 when his father, an antique dealer, brought a Teisco guitar home from an estate sale. Max dove in, teaching himself to play. He would spend hours modeling every riff and guitar face after the big axe heroes of the 80’s and 90's. Soon is he was in multiple neighborhood garage bands and making noise for all kinds.

In the late 80’s and 90’s he had some modest success as a member of the Bay Area thrash band Potential Threat. They were an area favorite, headlining San Francisco clubs and supporting major acts.

Max has always had a deep love for music and his playlists include most every genre both new and old. He draws from this well-rounded palate to create a unique and wide-open form of songwriting.
