Hey there! My name is Jack Oberkirsch and I'm a composer from Denver, CO. I enjoy writing music in many different styles such as ambient, orchestral, percussive, synthetic, etc. I'm very active when it comes to working in my studio and I spend time on composing every single day. I am also focused on marketing, networking, and branding as of recently in an effort to treat my musical excursions more like a business. I have a steady stream of content on Instagram (@paulmauldrumboy) and am also starting to amass a small but loyal and engaged following (currently 1,243 followers). I have been fortunate enough this year to begin working on some scoring projects as well, all of which were offered through connections I made with filmmakers and directors on Instagram. Two of these projects are short film endeavors by local directors with one being a 14 episode mini series (currently finishing Ep. 9). The other film I will be starting work on soon is a documentary about the US Women's Polo Open in Florida. It's in the editing phase now and I'm very excited to get to work on it, it's produced by a company called Running Iron Creative. (@runningironcreative) on Instagram if you wanted to check them out. Lastly, I'm now working on an audition track of sorts to hopefully get the job to score a full length feature film that will be greenlit for production soon. It has been a busy year for me to say the least! On top of my studio work and composing, I play in several local bands here in Denver such as Paul Maul; a high energy pop-punk band (@paulmaulusa on Insta (@Paul Maul on streaming platforms)), The Consequence; a gritty cult underground hardcore band signed to (@youthattackrecords) (@The Consequence on streaming platforms), and also Screwtape; a local punk/hardcore band with hip-hop and other musical influences (@screwtvpe on Insta (@Screwtape on streaming platforms)). While I love playing drums and guitar in bands, my focus recently has mostly been towards composing and scoring. I have a huge passion for writing and composing music and I plan to pursue this until the day I die!
