Jimmy released his first record in 1970 and was top 10 locally. This followed with several singles and an album all reaching top 10. His release of “Can’t Fall In Love” drew the attention of Nashville Publisher Mickey Hiter from Pitter Patter Music. They picked up the publishing and demoed the song. At the same time, Arc Music, Chuck Berry’s publisher, published his recording of “Pretending.” Starlite Music in Nashville demoed “The Life I Live,” “Another Love, Another Door”, Maybe I’ll Fall In Love Again,” Cincinnati’s Close to Patti,” “Loving You Again,” and the duet “Together.” Thyroid cancer damaged his vocal chords and rendered him unable to sing. He has been concentrating on writing catchy pop tunes with strong melodies, unforgettable hooks, and poignant lyrics. At this time he has written over 300 songs and over 50 have been recorded as demos.
Jimmy’s Christmas song “Another Lonely Christmas Eve” drew positive praise and response on Social Media this past Christmas.
