A winner in her category for 2021 from the International, Singer-Songwriters Association,
GRADIE is originally from the UK where she had a successful career both writing and performing. She has written for other artists and has had original material on two UK labels with extensive distribution. GRADIE worked alongside some great musicians during her UK career including Paul Carrack’s (Mike & The Mechanics/Squeeze) musicians, Pete Haywood, student of the great Tongan pedal steel player, Bill Sevesi, drummer, Chrissie Lee and session musicians from the B.B.C.
She has won a number of awards for her work including ‘Top Female Country Artist’, ‘Band of the Year’ and most recently came second in her category in the 2020 Voyager International Songwriting Competition with a recording of ‘She Knows’.
Gradie, now living in New Zealand, is a prolific writer and member of APRA/AMCOS (Australasian Performing Rights Association). Her writing passions lean towards roots and she often writes songs which tell a story that the listener can interpret as they choose. Her heartfelt writing certainly elicits some emotional responses and she is equally adept at producing material that demonstrates her very sharp sense of humour.
Gradie also produces instrumentals for film, advertising, gaming and TV and is heavily involved in the production of all of her material.
