Khadejha Brunner Also known as “Dejha B” was born in the Bronx New York to a teenage mom, and Cuban immigrant. When Dejha B was 3 months old, her father was sentenced to 15 years to a Federal Prison in which she was never to see him again. Her mom struggled to make ends meet while living in one of the notorious housing projects in the Bronx, but always found ways to keep Dejha out of trouble through entertainment. From the age of 3 years old Dejha would always find ways to entertain on stage through dancing, and music.
When Dejha was 10 years old, she won three times on the World-famous Apollo Theatre for dancing with her dance group called D.W.A (Dancers with Attitudes). She would later go on a nationwide tour as an opening act with the Apollo Theatre. While attending Frederick Douglass Academy High School in Harlem, New York she was surrounded by talented people who inspired her to entertain and write HipHop and R&B music.
Later she would write for an urban celebrity magazine called “Dopeness Magazine.” Once Dejha became a newly single parent, she had to alter her goals and dreams. She put herself through college earning a bachelor’s degree in legal studies in which she started a professional career as a Business Analyst. In recent months she decided to finish what she started with her music career and landed a feature on the legendary 90s R&B group Allure’s new single “I Do.”
Dejha B wants to be an entertainment force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Her sassy but classy style, and her ability to tell vivid stories in her music sets her apart from another artist. She wants to bring the real and rawness missing in the rap game, that most people can relate to.
