When I was 6 years old, I started singing in public with the kids choir at church. My brother an dI grew up performing in talent shows, musicals, at private and public parties and events. As a senior in high school, I won first place as Second Soprano in the State of Pennsylvania. I majored in Vocal Music Performance in college, graduating from Belmont University in Nashville.
For over 11 years, I was married to a man who didn't want me to sing commercially. But once we divorced, I was free to pursue music again. So in 2013, I moved to LA to start over. I began leading worship more often, did some studio vocal sessions, and sang on the soundtrack for the movie, "High Strung." A few years later, I completed a certification in Ableton Live, in December of 2017. A few months after that, I taught Ear Training at Beat Lab Academy in Eagle Rock, CA, the same school where I learned audio production.
Now I am working on releasing my own music. During my hiatus from music, I never lost my love for it. So I'm taking steps toward my musical goals, as an artist, songwriter and producer. And I aim to bring joy to others in the process :) I've rebranded a couple of times. My current artist brand, Christina Iris, is still fairly new.
