Born May 22, 1990, Amy Kendrick better known as, “Amie Rulay,” was only 7 years old when she took on her music career. Born in Ohio, this Midwest visionary took one step into a studio to record her EP and the rest was history. Momma Ru moved Amie from Ohio to Atlanta. Momma Ru paid for Rulay’s recording sessions. After living 3 years in Atlanta, Rulay’s mom had lost her home and became homeless living from shelter to shelter for the next 3 years. (This only gave the rising star momentum and faith to keep moving)
Never giving up on her dream, ambitious, and beginning to gain traction in her music career, she landed a opportunity as a songwriter for 247ent/Konvict Records who heard her song that was recorded at a multi million dollar studio she was working out of at the time.
Rulay would then go on to feature in David Banners video, "Crank It Up," open for accolades of talent, have a shot at writing for big artist such as Chris Brown, Ciara, Usher, Monica, and Trey Songz to name a few. from being homeless to living in Atlanta, New York, and Chicago, one of her most memorable times is with the rap group Travis Porter. They loved her raspy voice and asked her to feature on their EP as a solo artist. The song hit major airwaves, featured in their Documentary/Movie, followed by a sold out show at Center Stage Stadium with Travis Porter, Lil Jon, and Amie Rulay.
Amie eventually made her way back home to Ohio where she learned Communication/Business at Wittenberg University to take on more of a business approach into the industry. 8,000 followers strong on Instagram. She's recently worked closely with Multi Platinum artist G-Easy on the LGBTQ project to raise money and spread love for his community back home in The Bay Area. Also, she gave a helping hand to Multi-Platinum Mid West native Machine Gun Kelly at his EST Festival!
