Now in its seventh year, some 500 composers, directors, writers, label execs, and music supervisors will gather to discuss the current state of music in the worlds of film and television. There will be songwriting panels and master classes for the more advanced writers. Topics will include: the Indie revolution, learning the biz, getting your music placed in commercials, getting started in music supervision, film and sound archiving, charting soundtracks, opportunities for emerging artists, anatomy of a film, and the secrets behind feature film composition. Major pros like Tamara Conniff, Jay /Faires, Larry Jenkins and Robert Kraft are scheduled to moderate panels.

Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference

Created in 1994 to serve the needs of the Folk music community, this year's event will again feature workshops, panels, seminars, discussions, an exhibit hall and formal showcases. Oh, yeah, there is also an all-night jam session for those who have trouble sleeping! Great buffet style dining and a cocktail party on opening night. This one is really cool.

7th Annual Mid-Atlantic Music Conference

Panels, seminars, and workshops are the call of this conference with more than 50 industry professionals in music supervision, A&R, music attorneys, and record execs converge in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina.
