Mega-Hit Songwriter Jeffrey Steele Performs at the TAXI Road Rally 2003

Hit Songwriter Jeffrey Steele Performs Taxi
Hit Nashville songwriter Jeffrey Steele, whose hits include — Tim McGraw's " The Cowboy In Me", Rascal Flatts' "These Days" Montgomery Gentry's "My Town" and "Hell Yeah" and dozens more — made a surprise appearance at this year's Road Rally closing party.

In the last three years Jeffrey has had over 200 (yes, 200) songs recorded by some of Nashville's biggest stars — Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Collin Raye, Rascal Flatts, Diamond Rio, LeAnn Rimes, Lonestar, Joe Nichols and just about every act on Country Music. He was recently awarded by BMI for over 17 million airplays.

Earlier in the day, Jeffrey was on the popular "Hit Songwriter's Panel" which featured five super-successful hit writers, including Brian Holland from Holland, Dozier, and Holland, the legendary team who wrote most of the Motown hits of the 60's.

Jeffrey performed several of his hits to an ecstatic crowd while backed by The Rallykats, TAXI's stellar band of A&R staffers who come together once a year to play the Road Rally afterparty.

TAXI staffers were seen later that evening worrying and muttering how they were going to top that at next year's Rally.
