After signing with a successful Music Placement Company that is very TAXI-friendly, Shaun and Beth Michaud's (Sanford, ME) song "F-Bomb" was played on the CW Network's television show Plain Jane. HIGH-ENERGY, MODERN, COMPELLING, UPBEAT ELECTRONICA/ROCKTRONICA SONGS with VOCALS a la Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method and Unkle wanted by major VIDEO GAME DEVELOPER for a variety of action games. Company is looking for INFECTIOUS, CONTEMPORARY, DRIVING GROOVES with vocal mantras that are exciting calls-to-action, NOT dark, menacing, foreboding warnings of dire futures. This music should be PUMPING, FUN, UPBEAT and accessible to a wide audience. We are NOT talking disco dance beats or overly techno grooves (like Drum and Bass). He wants to hear unique songs that have a commercial, marketable sound. Songs must be lyrically interactive and have a fun, educational style that focus on themes of a child's "day in the life" (school, play, pets, family, etc.) They will re-record your song(s) with pro musicians, but your demo submission should still sound great. They want to hear songs that are undeniable smash hits! Lyrics with a unique twist and a conversational tone will rise to the top - be sure that chorus kicks! Songs must showcase a powerhouse vocal and have BIG, contemporary chorus hooks that really reach out and grab you in memorable way! Lyrics need to be meaningful, fresh, exciting, not sappy or saccharine. All tempos are welcome but ballads will have to be stellar and very current sounding. She is looking for something unique and edgy, but with commercial appeal. You will need to have the full package, including radio-friendly songs, a distinctive voice along with a great look and style. Solid songwriting abilities and a fresh approach to lyrics are a must! JJ Zeller (Harleysville, PA) recently let us know that his songs have been signed to not one, but three different successful music libraries, all as a direct result of TAXI forwards!
After signing to a Publishing company through a forward from TAXI, longtime co-writers Robert Kelly and TAXI member Jay Ramsey (Las Vegas, NV) emailed to say that they have had songs "Lonley Girl" and "Better Luck Next Time, Little Girl" placed in the AMC Emmy and Golden Globe winning series Mad Men.
After submitting to a TAXI Film and Television listing which led to be forwarded to a very successful Music Placement company, Nick Evans Mowery (North Las Vegas, NV) let us know that his song "Mite B Rite" was placed both in Fox TV's television show The Good Guys, as well as the Disney feature film Step Up 3D. Nice going Nick!
