JJ ZellerJJ Zeller (Harleysville, PA) recently let us know that his songs have been signed to not one, but three different successful music libraries, all as a direct result of TAXI forwards!
Way to go, JJ! We look forward to seeing what television shows and films your music gets licensed into!

"Being a member of TAXI for two and a half years has been a great experience. The critiques, the articles, the forum, TAXI Live, and of course, the Road Rally have been so helpful. All have had a direct impact on making the music that I write, along with my co-writers, more accessible to the production music industry. It's an honor to be a part of such a caring community of artists.."

Robert Kelly/Jay RamseyAfter signing to a Publishing company through a forward from TAXI, longtime co-writers Robert Kelly and TAXI member Jay Ramsey (Las Vegas, NV) emailed to say that they have had songs "Lonley Girl" and "Better Luck Next Time, Little Girl" placed in the AMC Emmy and Golden Globe winning series Mad Men.

"These placements came about because of a five-figure deal we signed with a publishing company as a result of being forwarded from TAXI. Thank goodness for a TV show about the 1960s and our great publisher — it all happened because of TAXI."

HIGH-ENERGY, MODERN, COMPELLING, UPBEAT ELECTRONICA/ROCKTRONICA SONGS with VOCALS a la Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method and Unkle wanted by major VIDEO GAME DEVELOPER for a variety of action games. Company is looking for INFECTIOUS, CONTEMPORARY, DRIVING GROOVES with vocal mantras that are exciting calls-to-action, NOT dark, menacing, foreboding warnings of dire futures. This music should be PUMPING, FUN, UPBEAT and accessible to a wide audience. We are NOT talking disco dance beats or overly techno grooves (like Drum and Bass). Company is looking for highly textural, analog/digital hybrids that combine real instruments with a polished BIG BEAT SOUND to build compelling, uptempo, pulsing grooves that shimmer. Vocals (GUY or GIRL) should be consistent with this genre, meaning fun, friendly, cool and EQ'd to compliment the groove. Riffs and refrains, as opposed to full-blown choruses and verses, are fine so long as your song is dynamic with peaks and valleys to keep momentum going; it's also OK to incorporate elements of Hip-Hop in the vocal. Lyric riffs and refrains should be universal, encouraging, positive and unquestionably COOL. NO COPYRIGHTED SAMPLES!!! Galvanize, soul brothers! Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Friday, November 12, 2010. See Dance / Electronica section for full details.
